Only 5 of my friends know about Tagging.

I think tagging will become more mainstream when standards are put into place. Currently we’re got lots of different methods of tagging (from Gmail’s labels to tagworld to del.icio.us). We need a standard out there that we can use on the web and on our desktop. This will help us organize our info across all platforms and really create the ability for us to start sharing all our info with the world (that we want to share) and not just which website we think are cool.
Only a few of my friends know about tagging. Even the computer savvy ones don’t take the time out to tag and organize their stuff.
