To my suprise as i was discussing today with my friend, about MessagePartners E-mail archiving system. I came across interesting article from CNET.COM/Business Technology.

This article points out different players in this domain EMC,Microsoft,Google and some startups and the later part of the article focus more on Clearwell.Below are some important factors that i felt that makes Clearwell a new leader in E-mail archiving and discovery applications.

Clearwell Program provides lot of features like intergrated Dashboard even some popular products are yet to release ,may be soon in their next release.

Clearwell’s program weighs the background data and content of each e-mail for several factors, including the name of the sender, names of recipients, how many replies the message generated, who replied, how quickly replies came, how many times it was forwarded, attachments and, of course, keywords. The program can also focus searches on a particular department or office location.

Messagepartner’s MPP product has some similiar funtionality,one advantage with MPP it is based on open source and may be within your budget. In my next post I will compare this two products in detail.
