Apple has updated its podcast and iTunes Technical Specification.To know more please click here.Three important things to note if you are a developer or you do podcasting.

1.Make sure you follow RSS 2.0 specification as mentioned in Podcast & iTunes,Documentation
2.Whenever you add a new podcast , send a XML Post/Ping to iTunes Server
3.If your podcast tool doesn’t support ping, you can always ping iTunes through HTTP https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa
